From June 25 to 30, Moscow will host the fifth International Rapid Chess Tournament "Chess Stars 5.0" with a total prize pool of 15 million rubles. For the first time, in this new stage of the tournament, young athletes from other countries will compete alongside world grandmasters and young chess players from Russia. The main venue this year will be the "Azerbaijan" Pavilion at VDNH in Moscow.

Based on the results of the children’s rounds, one hundred finalists will take part in "Chess Stars 5.0", where they will compete in both rapid and blitz chess events alongside the grandmasters. In the final, 24 winners will be determined across four age categories under 17. Winners will be selected based on cumulative results in two disciplines – rapid and blitz. Awards will be presented in four age categories, with separate rankings for boys and girls.

The young chess players will compete in a 7-round Swiss system: each game will be played with a time control of 10 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move (Fischer timing). Professional arbiters will oversee the tournament. All games will be streamed live online, making it easy for parents to watch and support their young athletes.

Children’s qualifying rounds will take place in Moscow at the following venues:
– May 25 – VEGAS Kuntsevo shopping mall
– June 1 – Khoroshkola
– June 8 – Riviera shopping mall
